Yup, Sharon, it's true, because the weight i have left, is in my stomach. Like a 7 month, pregnant belly. If it wasn't for my big belly, i could easily slip into those tiny jeans my friend's mother sent me, but it can't get them fastened at the top (lacking an 8th to maybe a quarter inch. RATS and i really like them, because they are the old fashioned type, true jeans with slim, straight legs (really make you look slim), but i just can't lose my gut. Need to get an omentumectomy. LOL My girlfriend gained so much weight from being on that prednisone, for so many years, so i know how you feel, my poor baby. She finally got that lap band surgery, but after weighing over 300 pounds, she was only able to go down to 165, but she likes it, so it's fine with me. Me, i like to be skinny for once, if only not for that big belly of mine. :-( But you know, you are right, because the more weight i lose, the more haggard i look, because of my advanced age. Not sexy anymore. LOL Have a good night, my friend. I am about 5'6", I think I shrunk and inch. I was skinny all my life, a models figure and no eating disorder. I tried to over eat to gain weight and once I got up to 112 (non-pg the most I ever weighed) usually it was 99 lbs to 105 lbs. They had no silly unsizes as 0 or 1 back then. They creates this nonsense for sales or? I have seen cataloges recently change their sizing so what was a large is now a medium. When i was thin I wore a 5-6, all you could get im stores back then. I waa not bony though. wrll except one i e I came out of the hospital at 87 lbs. Then the size 5 jeans slipped off my hips. Wasn't much but skin and bone. Then the thyroid went belly up and the dr i had then missed it for years. A rhuematologist caught i finally. I gained a LOT of weight from that. Then the prednisone/medrol and now I have doubled my weight. it is in just certian areas as that is what the cortico-steroids do. Put the weight on the stomach, face and back of the neck/shoulders. I have heard that most people with diabetes have large stomachs fromit too. Is that true? Sux. Sharon
