Yeah, i know, Carole, why do good people, like us have to suffer all the time? Me, right now, i can't stop sleeping; always so desperately tired and feeling so weak. Talking even exhausts me, so does reading, writing, watching TV, doing every day little things, everything seems to exhaust me. Just got up, check E-mail and going back to bed. May not get up at all tomorrow and see if i can recover a little. More tired than ever and i wonder if the stroke has anything to do with it?. I always feel like i haven't seen a bed in many days. I am very uncomfortable (not even counting all the pain i have), sitting, standing and laying down. I yelled at one person, the other day: "Why do you have to call me in the middle of the night"? She said: "Don't you live in California"? She said it was 9:30 in the morning and i just told her, it's my sleep time and hung up. Now i leave my phone turned off, until i am awake, or i really expect someone
to call, like my pharmacy. I just don't want to talk to anyone, anymore. It just exhaust me. People don't seem to understand, that when i say, OK, i want to get off the phone now and take a nap, they keep right on talking, or they just have to tell me something else, and another thing, and them some more and completely ignore me, when i say i want to get off the phone now. I never do that to people, when they want to go, i say, OK, good bye, have a nice day and hang up.
Have a really good weekend, my friend and i hope you will feel better soon, too.
Hugs, Marion

Marion, am so sorry that you "just have to live with it"!!!
With me--I couldn't sit down. Had to sit and ride on pillows! In fact, my "traveling" days-- going to the store, church, the library, downtown, came to a screening halt. Never felt that way before. Understand that some people are able to walk off the pain, etc. And, there is another procedure which doesn't involve any surgery. But, as I was going to be living in a house where the washer & dryer were in the basement, surgery was the only option.

Wow, Carole, that must have been horrific. Are you much better now, i hope, with the surgery and physical rehab? I sure hope so.
I have compression fractures on my S1 and L5, however, they did not offer to repair it. I just have to live with that pain, the curvature of my spine, left to right pelvic tilt and the arthritis, and it's been many years ago, never got any better.
I wish you the very best and really hope you feel much better. Have a good night.
Hugs, Marion

For caring, thanks. Test--couldn't see the screen, monitor, but from what they two were saying, neurosurgeon and the "therapist," the reading, score must have been terrible. What happened--In late Jan 04, I began having pain in my back, and felt a bump, lump while sitting down. Had gone with my mom and sister to another city. Mom had to move out of her mobile home. Stayed there helping mom move in, etc. Pain/discomfort seemed to be on my right hip in middle of bone.
Discomfort would ease when I stretched out my leg. When I finally saw the PA, he immediately he said "slipped disk." Place in my lumbar spine, vertebrae L5S1. Had an MRI as soon as possible. When I went back, PA just told me to walk. Well that didn't do any good, so I went to a neurosurgeon. One look at the MRI, and he said surgery, which was done Mar 04. Since I was moving here in May, had to have a PLIF, posterior interbody fusion, back surgery. After that, had rehab by a chiropractor. Had to fly here by self. David drove the U-Haul, and daughter drove with our dog.
Now you know my story. No more slipped disk. I have a chunk of titanium in me. No problem going thru airport security, now.

It did, Carole? How? I don't have the results yet and the doctor didn't even see me again, after the test. Just got a new appointment and that was it.
So, what's the problem, Carole? Would you please tell me? I am very curious.
Have a good night. Hugs, Marion

That's the test that diagnosed my nerve damage from the slipped disc, now many years ago. At one point, my leg burned. Your test did what it was supposed to do, find the problem.

I forgot to tell you that i had that electrical thing done on my legs and feet. Yeah, it hurt, sort off. But my 4 right toes did not hurt at all, but the right big toe hurt a lot. I begged her to stop, because it really hurt, of course she did not. Don't have the results yet and i don't remember what they called that test.
Some time ago, i had a test on my legs and feet with an ultrasound and they told me i had PAD, so i wonder why they wanted that electrical test. I hope they don't have to do that again.
Thanks for any information on that one. Have a good night. Hugs, Marion
